A “VICIOUS” domestic abuser remains at large after being found guilty in his absence.

Andrew Anderson should be in a prison cell after his threats to attack women in Sussex. He was sentenced to four years in jail at Lewes Crown Court.

Anderson was convicted of seven charges in connection with two women between June and August 2019.

These included harassment, witness intimidation and breaching a Non-Molestation Order.

He had threatened to get one woman beaten up, and police said his behaviour was “vicious and systematic”

But the 38-year-old, formerly of Sutherland Avenue, Bexhill, went on the run.

Police believe he has recently been in East London. He is white, 5ft 9ins, of medium build.

PC Fiona Godfrey said: “Anderson’s vicious and sustained behaviour had a major impact on both women and we supported them through the investigation and the court case. Even in his absence the court was able to see his true nature.

“The jury heard about his systematic and threatening intimidation of his victims which included threats to their families, harassing one of the women with a series of phone calls threatening violence, threatening to pay someone to beat up the other woman and causing damage.”
