BEMBRIDGE RNLI was called to investigate two reports involving dinghies today (Friday).

At 8am, RNLB Norman Harvey was launched to investigate a report of an upturned dinghy near Ryde.

The dinghy was located at 8.19am, and taken under tow back to the station.

With the recent bad weather and high tides, Bembridge RNLI suspect it had been washed out to sea.

Anyone that would like to claim ownership should contact Bembridge RNLI on 01983 875138.

At 12.01pm, the Norman Harvey was launched a second time to investigate a report of another waterlogged dinghy, north-east of the lifeboat station.

After failing to find anything in the area, she returned to the slipway and was re-housed.
