FIRE crews have been called to tackle a chimney fire in Apse Heath this afternoon (Thursday).
A fire engine from Shanklin was sent to the scene, at Newport Road, just after noon.
An Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We called to reports of a chimney fire at a home at Newport Road.
"We sent one crew from Shanklin, and they are presently at the scene."
