POPULAR family attraction West Wight Alpacas and Llamas has announced plans to further develop.

In addition to expanding the gift shop, the owners are offering a franchising deal on the cafe and restaurant.

Neil Payne, director of the company, said: "This year we hope to improve and expand our shop and extend our range of products with things that compliment what we already offer.

"We think this is best described as a country boutique serving the local community with country wear not otherwise available in the area.

"We can’t do that in our current shop located at the back of the restaurant because it isn't big enough, so we are proposing to move it across the yard and relocate the new shop inside our barn.

"We are also proposing to move the farm visitor entrance across the yard and make a dry animal viewing area where people will be able to see some of our young animals in the barn.

"We will have lambing and lamb feeding, which visitors will be able to view through our new barn cam.

"A planning application will be submitted shortly."

The owners revealed their intentions to offer the café to the right person on a lease basis in order to allow someone else to embrace the full potential of the site.

The Llama Tree Bistro will be offered as a franchise through Gully Howard Estate Agents.
