THE Red Jet service has been suspended due to adverse weather.

With Storm Brendan set to hit the UK, Red Funnel had warned earlier today (Monday) services were likely to be affected.

Red Funnel said it would review the situation at 6.30pm.

UPDATE 5.35pm: Hovertravel services have been suspended. The next update will be provided at 7pm.

The Red Jets will remain suspended until at least 7.45pm from Southampton and 8.15pm from Cowes. A further update will be provided at 7pm.

UPDATE 7.11pm: Red Funnel have announced that the Red Jet service will be suspended until at least 7.45pm from Southampton and 8.15pm from Cowes due to the adverse weather. A further update is scheduled at 7.30pm.

All Hovertravel services remain cancelled, with an update set for 8pm.

UPDATE 8.17pm: All of tonight's Hovertravel services have been cancelled. The next scheduled update is set for 5.45am tomorrow (Tuesday).

UPDATE 8.36pm: Red Jet have suspended all services until further notice due to adverse weather.

UPDATE 9.45pm: Red Jet service has returned to timetable.
