A LIFEBOAT launch vehicle, belonging to Ryde Inshore Rescue, has had its windows smashed by vandals.
Rescue volunteers slammed the 'mindless vandalism' after they discovered the vehicle, which they use to transport lifeboats to the water, had been damaged.
They shared pictures of the damage on twitter today (Sunday).
A spokesperson said: "It appears we have been the victims of mindless vandalism, this time on our main launch vehicle.
"Nobody noticed it at first, but someone came into our shop to tell us that the windscreen had been smashed.
"We saw it had been vandalised, and the cafe across the road had also had some damage to its outside tables and chairs.
"We don't know what happened exactly but the windscreen is completely broken."
Well appears we have been the victims of mindless vandalism, this time on our main launch vehicle. Needless to say we are all angered and saddened that someone could do this. If you know anything about this plz contact us or the Police ref. 44200005054 pic.twitter.com/HVdy7A8FpD
