COASTGUARDS were called to Bonchurch last night (Thursday) following reports that a dog had gone over a cliff.
The Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams were called to the town at around 8.45pm.
A UK Coastguard spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a dog going over the cliff. Teams were stood down at approximately 10.30pm at the scene after arriving to find the dog safe and well after self-rescuing."
