BEMBRIDGE Coastguard Rescue Team is urging members of the public to keep away from a coastal footpath today (Saturday).
After conducting a visual check of the footpath BB10 — between the Crab and Lobster and its junction with Howgate Road — the team are advising people to stay away from potential cliff falls or landslides.
The coastal footpath runs from Bembridge to Whitecliff Bay.
UPDATE 1.45pm (December 30):
The footpath remains closed due to ongoing cliff movement.
Members of the public should stay clear of all cliff falls and landslides.

The closure will only effect pedestrians @iwight
