Isle of Wight Police have launched an investigation after a man entered the Central convenience store at Hunnyhill, Newport, yesterday (Thursday) and threatened staff.
A spokesperson said: "We’re investigating a robbery which took place at Central Stores on Hunnyhill, Newport.
"At around 6pm on Boxing Day, a man entered the store and demanded money from the till while threatening a member of staff.
"The man, who was holding a bottle, stole around £400 cash.
"Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 101."
