Christmas will be extra special for a Godshill family this year.

Diane Blow, from the village, won the County Press's 12 Days of Christmas competition, published in our Wight Christmas supplement in November.

Diane said she was delighted to have won and collected her prizes from Alan Marriott, County Press publisher, and other CP team members at Busy Bee Garden Centre, Ryde, last Friday.

"It will make for a very special Christmas with the family," she said.

One of the prizes was a free go for six on the Virtual Reality Sleigh Ride at Busy Bee, which Diane said she would be passing on to younger members of the family.

The other gifts included a beautiful bouquet from Doris Pink, hampers of beer, meat and coffee from Goddard's Brewery, Woodford's Butchers and Caffe Isola respectively.

Diane also won a collectible teddy bear from Koko's, a gift collection from the Christmas Imaginarium, a £50 gift voucher for JR Zone, a £50 voucher for Reader's Interiors, a Christmas tree from Shide Trees and a tiger or lion experience at the IW Zoo.

More than 600 people entered the competition.
