PARAMEDICS have been called to Ryde this evening (Friday) after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service said: "We were called to St John's Hill in Ryde at 7.37pm to a male who had been hit by a car.
"Paramedics are still on the scene."
UPDATE 9.35pm: A 74-year-old man has been taken to St Mary's Hospital by paramedics.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "A 74-year-old male who sustained head injuries has now been transported hospital."
