FALLEN trees have blocked Isle of Wight roads, and cross-Solent services are affected by weather and other elements this morning.

The hovercraft is currently suspended due to the weather, with an update due at 8am.

Wightlink said it had cancelled several Yarmouth to Lymington crossings due to the weather — although one ferry is still running.

It stated: "Due to adverse weather conditions, the 06.40, 08.45, 11.00, 13.00 and 15.00 from Lymington and the 07.50, 10.05, 12.05, 14.05 and 16.05 from Yarmouth have been cancelled on Monday."

Red Funnel has also announed Red Jet cancellations, due to technical issues. The 7.15am from Cowes and 7.45am from Southampton have been cancelled.

Southern Vectis has a few route changes, and motorists might be affected, after a couple of trees fell and blocked Island roads.

In the early hours of this morning, the Middle Road between The Sun Inn and Swainston Manor, in Calbourne, was closed due to a fallen tree blocking the carriageway.

Warning signs were put in place.

Additionally, a tree is blocking Hillway Road in Bembridge.

Southern Vectis said the Route 8 was suffering significant delays and buses would not be serving Whitecliff Bay until the tree was cleared from the carriageway.
