COASTGUARDS were called to the Western side of Niton Undercliff last night (Monday) following reports that two people and two dogs had gone over a cliff.
The Needles and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Teams were called to lower Niton at around 8.23pm.
A UK Coastguard spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of two humans and two dogs going over the cliff. Teams were stood down at 8.45pm at the scene after arriving to find casualties were now safe and well with their dogs after self-rescuing."
