THE line-up for the 2020 Isle of Wight Festival will be announced shortly after 8am tomorrow (Tuesday). Who would you like to see performing at the event?

Early rumours have suggested that the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Coldplay, Sam Smith and Pearl Jam — who begin a full European tour shortly after the festival — could be in the running to feature at the next instalment of the music spectacle at Seaclose Park in Newport between June 11 to 14.

Coldplay, along with Ed Sheeran and Green Day had earlier been named as Isle of Wight County Press readers’ top choices to headline the bill, although the latter will be dividing most of their time between France, Italy and the Netherlands during that weekend, with the Californian rock trio’s European tour not scheduled to touch down in the UK until nearer the end of the month.

Hundreds of CP readers commented shortly after the 2019 festival, with six acts clearly receiving the most mentions.

These were Coldplay, Foo Fighters and P!nk — who have all played before — and IW Festival virgins Arctic Monkeys, Ed Sheeran and Green Day. Derek Sandy the predominant local act mentioned.

Check in with the County Press website tomorrow morning to find out who has been announced.
