THE Island Security Centre, home of Lifeline Alarms and Security Services, has had a major facelift.

The building — located on the Riverway Industrial Estate, Newport — has been home to the Lifeline team for more than twenty years.

Planning for the improvements began early this year, and the building now has a suite of glass walled offices, customer lounge and a directors' suite.

The exterior has polished marine-grade stainless steel signage.

Security features include biometric facial recognition and fingerprint access control technology.

Savannah Lee, Lifeline marketing manager, said: “As the premier fire and security provider on the Island, it is important our facilities reflect our enviable position as a progressive and forward-thinking business.

"The outside of the building now reflects a more inviting, modern, professional and extremely appealing experience to customers — reflecting our high standards and ethics as a business together with our commitment to Island homes and business owners.”

Cindy Newnham, general manager, said, “There were several aspects to these improvements, including improved energy efficiency as well as improving and modernising the far end of Riverway, making it an attractive and desirable business location.

"We have received so many positive comments from the community, with other businesses already committing to and pledging improvements to their buildings in the near future.”
