A TEENAGE boy has been taken to St Mary's Hospital with serious injuries this morning, following a collision with a car.

The 14-year-old, a pedestrian, was hit by a Mazda on New Road, Brading.

The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called 7.23am and despatched an ambulance and an rapid response vehicle to the scene.

Police officers also attended and remain on scene at the time of writing, and the road remains open to traffic.

A week ago, a woman was hit by a car at nearby Morton Common.
