A FAMILY ticket to see Polar, Robin Hill's new Christmas event, was won by Filip Anszczak, eight.

He entered a County Press competition to draw a picture of Pippa the polar bear and his drawing was chosen from all the entries.

He was delighted to meet Pippa when he collected his prize, and he was so thankful he took a long a home-made Christmas card for the Robin Hill team.

Filip said: "Thank you Robin Hill and to all who voted for me. It was lovely to meet Pippa and I can’t wait to see her again soon."

Polar will run from Friday for four weekends, featuring fabulous festive activities.

Visitors can take a winter woodland walk through sparkling ancient forests, enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Polar Village, hop on board the Big Red Express, where Father Christmas takes the wheel, and enter the Polar Hollow to meet Pippa, the life-sized cuddly polar bear.
