A 15-YEAR-OLD girl has appeared in court this morning (Wednesday) after attempting to rob a Ryde convenience store.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted one count of attempted robbery and another count of possessing a knife at the Isle of Wight Youth Court.
The court heard she attempted to rob Duffetts Stores, at John Street, on June 3.
She was sentenced to a nine-month referral order, and referred to the youth offending team.
She was also fined £85 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £90.
