THE most fabulous show in town is promised when Ventnor Theatre Group brings its panto-remix to Ventnor Winter Gardens.

Cinderella Live will be a high-energy spectacular, combining songs by the world's biggest divas with the best contemporary tracks from musical theatre.

Join Cinderella as she takes centre-stage alongside her friends the Fairy Godmother, Pumpkin and the Mice in the family-friendly funny show.

Ashleigh Hunt-Davis will play Cinderella, a waitress who is forced to live with her evil step-sisters. She is taking on songs by Beyoncé, Kylie, Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus.

In a coup for the group, they have secured drag artiste Jacqui Swallows as the Fairy Godmother.

Charlie Merricks is Prince Charming.

The new show has been written and directed by Joe Plumb, who performed to widespread acclaim as Herod in the group's production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

He said: "This show takes all the traditions of British pantomime and brings it right up to date. The classic Cinderella story has had a panto-remix.

"We have assembled a hugely talented cast of performers and creatives who are working incredibly hard to produce our best panto yet. This show is part panto, part pop concert.

"The contemporary staging includes an enormous screen with artwork and animations by Rebecca Kidd.

"All your favourite panto lines are included as well as hysterical scenes that will have the whole family in stitches."

The production team includes choreographer Amy Denham, voice coach Tallulah Smith and producer Laura Cansdale.

Amy said: "The choreography, and the whole show itself, is massively energetic with a fantastic feel good vibe.

"It’s been amazing to work with Joe and bring his creative vision to life. It is 100 per cent not one to miss. Get ready for lights, cameras, Beyoncé and pumpkins!"

The show is on Friday, December 13 at 7.30pm, Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
