A MULTI-VEHICLE car crash has been reported on Long Lane this morning (Thursday), on the outskirts of Newport town.
At 7.55am, Southern Vectis tweeted: "Due to a road traffic accident through Long Lane, our route 8 service will divert via Staplers Road and Briddlesford Road until further notice."
UPDATE 8.20am:
At 7.49am, a single fire engine from Newport arrived at the scene in response to a four-vehicle road traffic collision.
Firefighters were tasked with scene safety, and were stood down at 8am.

UPDATE 8.55am:
Long Lane has now re-opened.

UPDATE 12.33pm:
A spokesperson for Isle of Wight Police said: "We were called at 7.46am to a three vehicle collision, involving a Toyota Aygo, Nissan van and Renault Trafic van.
"One person suffered minor head injuries.
"The road was cleared by 8.47am."
