A SERIES of classic Christmas films will be shown at Cineworld during December to raise funds for Age UK Isle of Wight.

The charity is holding its Christmas Film Festival in Newport for the fourth successive year with exclusive viewings of three films.

The films are The Holiday (Sunday, December 1, 4.30pm), The Santa Clause (Sunday, December 8, 4.30pm) and Elf (Sunday, December 15, 4.30pm).

Elisha Leachman, fundraising manager at Age UK IW, said: "We are super excited to offer Islanders the opportunity to see some Christmas classics on the big screen, enabling everyone to have some festive fun while helping to support a local charity.

"All the proceeds stay on the Island, supporting our 'No One Should Have No One' appeal, helping Age UK IW to combat loneliness."

Donations are £10 for adults, £5 for children under 14 or £25 for a family (two adults, two children) for admission, along with a Christmas pack.
