Police and coastguard called to search for missing person at Culver Cliffs
POLICE and Coastguard teams were called to Culver Cliffs this morning (Thursday) in a search for a missing person.
The Ise of Wight Police and teams from the Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were called to the cliffs and the beach beneath them.
A spokesperson for the UK Coastguard said: "We were tasked alongside Ventnor Coastguard to assist police with with a search of the Culver Cliff area.
"The person was later found in the Newport area of the Island, so we stood down 09:56am."
