THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the Isle of Wight, with torrential rain forecast on Thursday (November 14).

The warning states that persistent rain may cause disruption to transport, with potential flooding for some businesses and ground-level homes.

Additionally, surface flooding may cause disruption to some journeys, and impact on sailings to and from the Island.

Yellow warnings indicate that severely bad weather is possible over the next few days and could affect residents who are planning to travel.

It is thought that the stormy conditions will subside by early on Friday morning.
