EMERGENCY Services were called to a two-vehicle crash in Shanklin this evening (Sunday).
A taxi and motorcycle were involved in the incident which occurred at Falcon Cross, with emergency services receiving a call shortly after 6pm.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight ambulance service said: "A car and motorbike collided in Shanklin this evening, with a subsequent fuel leak coming from the car. The motorcyclist was knocked from his bike."
Police and a fire appliance from Shanklin also attended the scene.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight fire service said: "We received a call at 6.11pm, with the fire crew making the scene safe and stopping shortly after 7.15pm."
Both drivers remained conscious at the scene, with the motorcyclist transported to A & E at St Mary's hospital for observation.
