A BRITAIN'S Got Talent runner-up will perform on the Isle of Wight this month, as part of a charity mental health day.

Music for the Mind aims to raise awareness about mental health issues, with free daytime activities taking place at Strings Bar and Venue in Newport.

The event will be held on Sunday, November 17, from 2pm until 5pm, featuring public speakers, music and stalls to raise awareness and money.

Representatives from mental health charities will be present, providing advice and support to those who need it.

The evening will feature ticketed entertainment, headlined by comedian Robert White — who narrowly lost out to fellow funnyman Lee Ridley, aka the Lost Voice Guy, in his quest for the 2018 Britain’s Got Talent crown.

He will perform alongside Island acts on the night and there will be a raffle, with a week’s stay in a villa in France up for grabs.

At least half the proceeds will go to Solent Mind and PANS PANDAS UK.

Event coordinator Timothy Bouman said: “I personally suffer from PANDAS — paediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome — so this is very close to my heart.”
