FIRE crews were called to the retail park in Gunville today (Thursday) after a fire alarm was triggered.Crews from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to retail park on Taylor road at 11.49am.

An Isle of Wight Fore and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called to an automatic fire alarm that was activated inside one of the commercial properties at Taylor Road.

"We sent two fire engines from Newport Fire Station and a third from Ryde, but fortunately it turned out to be a false alarm and crews left at 12.17pm."
