Island Roads has announced that Louis Road has been closed due to a gas leak
AN EMERGENCY road closure has been put in place in Lake following a gas leak.
Louis Road remains closed this morning (Wednesday) while repairs are carried out, following the gas leak yesterday.
It has been closed from New Road for a distance of 30 metres.
Island Roads has placed diversions along New Road, Manor Road, Sandown and Shanklin Footpath and Newport Road.
A spokesperson for Island Roads said: "The closure is still in place, but it's hoped the road will be cleared by the end of the day today."
