A BEMBRIDGE woman admitted two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

Lucy Patmore, 29, of Crossways, appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court last Tuesday (October 1).

The court heard that she pulled on the body armour of two police officers when they attended a domestic incident at her home on September 16.

Prosecutor Ann Smout, said: "Police were called to a scuffle that had stemmed from a domestic background.

"Ms Patmore began pulling on the officers body armour and pulling on their wrists."

Patmore's defence, Liz Miller, said: "Ms Patmore had become very concerned at what the police were doing to her partner.

"She tells me the officers were banging him against furniture and being more vicious than they needed to be.

"She accepts that she pulled on their body armour, but she argues that she did so entirely out of concern."

The court heard how one of the officers received a minor scratch as a result.

Patmore was ordered to pay a £80 fine, £85 court costs and a £32 surcharge.
