FIREFIGHTERS were called to two separate fires at Borthwood Copse on the weekend.
On Saturday, October 5, at 6.22pm, a single fire engine from Shanklin was called to an unattended campfire at Borthwood Copse.
Two buckets of water were used to extinguish the fire.
On Sunday, October 6, at 4.52pm, a single fire engine from Shanklin was called to a second fire at Borthwood Copse.
Beaters and a rake were used to extinguish the fire.
One resident that contacted the County Press has complained about teenagers abusing the area throughout the summer.
