FIRE crews were called to West Wight this morning after receiving a call about a fallen horse.
Crews from Freshwater and Newport, along with an animal rescue vehicle from Newport, were called to Wilmingham Lane, Yarmouth, at 9.56am to attempt to lift the animal.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "One large 35-year-old male horse was reported as unable to get up in a stable, with no 'stop' as of yet."
Sedation has been given, and animal rescue equipment and techniques are ongoing, to help the horse and close the incident.
