AN ISLE of Wight estate agent has been nominated for the prestigious Rising Star award — for the second successive year — at the annual Negotiator Awards.
Charlie Panayi, business manager at the Red Squirrel Property Shop in Newport, will attend a grand gala dinner at London’s Grosvenor House on November 29, where he will hope to fend off 23 other nominees in his category.
He said: “This is the Oscars of estate agency, and to be nominated two years in a row is almost unheard of, so I’m over the moon.
“I was the first Isle of Wight estate agent to ever receive a nomination, finding the whole experience overwhelming.
“I would dearly love to win the award, it would be as proud an accolade as I could receive in the industry.”
Organisers of this years’ 12th instalment of the ceremony will once again endeavour to shine a spotlight on the cream of estate agency staff, management companies, and auction services from across the country.
In recent years the awards have been hosted by a string of nationally acclaimed comedians, such as Jimmy Carr and Julian Clary.
Red Squirrel is no stranger to awards, having received a trophy for excellence at the 2018 British Property Awards.
