THREE sets of planned roadworks have been cancelled today (Monday) ahead of predicted bad weather.

Island roads has announced that it has been forced to cancel resurfacing jobs on roads on Northwood Road and Trafalgar Road in Newport, and River Road in Yarmouth.

The roadworks have been cancelled following a weekend that saw flooding in Newport and the Isle of Wight met service heavy rain for the rest of the week.
