ISLE of Wight Police have received several reports of counterfeit £50 notes.
A number of counterfeit £50 Bank of Scotland notes were reported to have been passed in shops across the Island yesterday (Friday).
The Bank of England states: "If you suspect that you have a counterfeit banknote, please take it to your nearest police station.
"If you have information about someone making, selling or using counterfeit banknotes, please contact the police or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
