GRACE Petrie, an award-winning protest singer, LGBTQ+ activist, folk musician and social commentator, is coming to the Isle of Wight.

She will perform at Quay Arts in Newport on Thursday, October 3, following a successful UK area tour supporting Frank Turner.

Grace, from Leicester, has been writing, recording and touring for the last ten years and her latest album, Queer As Folk, was named one of MOJO's top ten folk albums of last year.

She has also been nominated as musician of the year at this year's Diva Awards.

Grace has supported artists including Emmy the Great and Billy Bragg, as well as comedians Robin Ince and Josie Long.

This summer she played the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury Festival.
