FIRE crews were called to a field fire in Brighstone this afternoon (Staurday) after a freshly cut field caught alight.
Crews from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to fire off Hulverstone Lane at 1pm after an 80x50m area caught fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We sent three appliances from Yarmouth, Newport and Freshwater Fire Stations after we were called at 1pm.
"The fire was in a field that had just been freshly cut, and the crews sent the stop message at 2.06pm."
