AN ISLE of Wight vocalist is launching her first music video tomorrow (Friday, September 20).

Emily Wild, otherwise known as Emellia, released her debut single, Authority, on March 29, with the upcoming video for it directed by Bembridge based Alex Warren from AlexsLens Video Productions.

Emellia said: “I am absolutely loving the creative aspects of being a solo artist, it is an incredibly liberating feeling, and I didn’t believe that I could have come this far.

“I am a huge lover of electronic and pop music, so I have fused the two together in my own songs, trying to draw on the life experiences that have shaped me.

“Having been in loads of different types of bands from soul to funk and rock and roll, I am now flying solo, and pushing for my music to be heard.”

Filming for Emellia’s new video took place around Compton, Arreton, Newport and East Cowes over the course of several summer months, with the lyrics touching upon the perpetual flux of emotions attached to various states of love.

The singer hopes to build up her portfolio in collaboration with various artists next year, as she gears up for a potential debut LP release in 2020.

As well as the music video, an acoustic version of Authority will be released on Friday, October 11, which will be available on streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and Deezer.
