I’d encourage anyone who is interested to come to the event at the Town Hall and celebrate the older members of our community. There is a range of excellent activities planned with something for everyone.”

Margaret Simpson of Oxford 50+ Network said: “Our organisation is run by older people for older people. We aim to keep people informed and involved in local events and issues. UN Older People’s Day is a great occasion to remind everyone that support for older people is as much about having fun as providing care. This day of activities is a chance to discover new hobbies and make new connections, I hope we’ll see plenty of people coming along to the event – whether they’re older people or interested in supporting older people.”
