FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a garden fire in Chale this afternoon (Wednesday).

At 3.05pm, two fire engines from Newport and a single water carrier from Ventnor were sent to the scene at Newman Lane, Chale.

Firefighters are currently dealing with the fire, involving trees, a hedgerow and an out of control bonfire.
