FOUR fishing lakes off Staplers Road, Newport, have sold at auction.
The green space was listed for between £180,000 to £200,000 before auction, with the new buyer having made an 'exceptional offer.'

The 15-plus acres of land, is comprised of green spaces and four small fishing lakes and was sold through auctioneers Clive Emson.
Rob Marchant, the Island’s auctioneer for Clive Emson, said: “There was keen interest and a buyer came forward in the run up to today’s auction.
"This was an unusual lot, likely to appeal to some of the 2.9 million anglers in the UK, because there are four lakes which had previously been utilised for fishing.
"The whole site is considered ideal for recreational or leisure use or indeed as a wildlife haven."
