ISLE of Wight stormtrooper Ben Allen has conquered the Three Peaks Imperial March, raising more than £2,000 on behalf of Isle of Wight children’s charity Layla’s Trust, in the process.

Ben’s Imperial March Three saw Ben and his team climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales, in just over 27 hours.

Ben said: “As the sun sets on another adventure, it gives me time to reflect on what has been a non-stop few days.

“I want to share a huge thank you with my mates Nathan, Steve and YT for driving 1,500 miles around the UK as we crossed three countries, passing absolutely mind-blowing scenery along the way.

“Sadly, we were not able to complete our challenge within the 24 hours we set ourselves due to unforeseen circumstances, nevertheless a smidge over 27 hours is nothing to be sniffed at, and we are all proud of our achievements.

“I'm grateful for every penny donated so far. If you haven't already sponsored us, you still can.”

Previous Imperial Marches have seen Ben, and his team, walk from the Isle of Wight to London, and to Paris.

He intends to undertake his next walk in 2021, although no plans for the expedition have been revealed yet.
