ORGANISERS of the popular Jack Up The Summer festival are staging some Christmas events.

The feel-good party nights will satisfy '80s aficionados and lovers of '90s dance groove.

The cheese factor has been ramped up for the '80s night on Saturday, November 23, as The Fizz, formerly known as Bucks Fizz, take to the stage to perform a live set crammed full of their greatest hits.

Bucks Fizz became one of the UK's biggest pop acts after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 with their famous skirt-ripping dance routine to Making Your Mind Up.

More than 30 years on, Cheryl Baker, Jay Aston, and Mike Nolan, will appear on the IW.

On Friday, November 22, a mix of dance songs from the '90s will be courtesy of DJ and performer Dario G, best known for the 1997 hit Sunchyme, which reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart.

He will perform live along with dance band, Urban Cookie Collective, remembered for their 1993 hit single The Key, The Secret.

Both nights will be held at Lower Hyde in Shanklin, complete with bespoke photo booth, bar and more than 1,000 glowsticks.

A series of DJ sets with 80’s and 90’s party classics and guilty pleasures will continue through until 1am.

Event manager Sarah Moss said: “We have worked hard to ensure a special deal for our loyal Jack Up followers to thank them for their support earlier this summer.

"Tickets are available at the absolute bargain price of just £15 per night.

"They come along with the promise that you will sing your heart out and dance your socks off, so get your fancy dress ready and prepare for not one, but two of the best parties of the year.”

Doors open at 8pm.

A strictly limited number of tickets can be purchased online at jackupchristmas.gigantic.com/ or from the reception at Lower Hyde. Over 18s only.
