FIREFIGHTERS were called to a classroom fire at Carisbrooke College yesterday afternoon (Friday).
At 7pm, two fire engines from Newport and a fire officer arrived at the scene on Mountbatten Drive.
The fire — located in a ground floor classroom — was extinguished using a hose reel and two breathing apparatus.
Firefighters left the scene at around 8pm.
