THERE were hundreds of ducks, both plastic and the real thing, on show at a packed charity family fun day at the Crown Inn, Shorwell, on Monday.

The plastic ducks were part of a series of races run on the stream by the pub, with the winning duck owned by Florence Cunningham, who collected the £15 first prize.

Organiser, Keith Cram, said: "It was a fabulous day and the garden was packed.

"We raised £260, which will go towards the Shorwell Parish Hall roof.

"There was plenty of stuff happening with live music from Jules Nelson and That's Life.

"For the children, there was face painting, a bouncy castle and some magic, so everyone had the chance to join in on the fun."
