ORGANISERS of Jack Up the Summer have announced some solutions for ticket holders following the cancellation of Saturday's 80s day due to high winds.

However, they have confirmed the terms and conditions of sale clearly state no refunds will be given.

They said: "We have done our upmost to find a happy Jack Up solution and not just for those who missed out on Saturday and couldn’t make the Sunday instead, but for everyone effected.

"We have been so overwhelmed by the amount of support for Jack Up during this incredibly challenging time, we would like offer you all a gesture of goodwill, if you wish to accept it, while in turn doing everything we can to try and save this very small, bespoke event.

"We are therefore pleased to advise the following. Saturday ticket holders — the vast majority of people chose to come on the Sunday instead.

"For those who couldn’t make it, you may retain your unused ticket and exchange it for entry on a day of your choice next year.

"You don’t need to do anything in advance, just keep hold of your Saturday 2019 ticket and redeem it on the day. Dates for next year will be released soon.

"Saturday Car Park ticket holders — the proceeds go to Ryde Cavaliers Cricket Club who were working hard on site marshalling all weekend for their local community fund.

"However if you still feel you would like your money back and purchased tickets online you will be sent a single use code.

"This will enable you to select parking for the day of your choice once tickets go on sale for next year’s event and you will not be charged for this one day.

"Weekend ticket holders and weekend upgrade ticket holders — when tickets go on sale for 2020 you will be eligible to receive a third off both your weekend and/or weekend upgrade ticket price (if you advance purchased the latter this year).

"In addition we’ve decided that your weekend ticket will now include the Friday night. Your discount will therefore equate to one day free which should help compensate for the day you missed this year.

"We also have other exciting money-off options on the way, which will be available to you as part of next year’s event.

"Anyone who purchased online will be emailed a dynamic link with the discount built into it.

"For those who purchased over the counter, please retain your weekend ticket, which was intentionally stamped and returned to you on the gate on the Sunday and present it at the County Press office in Newport once tickets go on sale for next year.

"A large number of people have been incredibly kind in saying they would prefer to forego any form of compensation for the weather-related situation that occurred and which was entirely out of our control, in order to ensure the future sustainability of Jack Up The Summer.

"We hope the above goes someway to making up for the disappointment we all felt and we very much look forward to welcoming you back next year.

"We are already working to try and re-secure several of the artists who were due to appear on Saturday to perform for you next time."
