TWO teenagers have been rescued from Luccombe Bay this evening (Thursday) after they were cut off by the incoming tide.

Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat, the Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams, and the UK Coastguard helicopter were called to the scene at around 6pm.

A spokesperson for the UK Coastguard said: "We attended Dunnose, between Ventnor and Shanklin, where two older teenagers were cut off by the tide.

"Rescue Helicopter 175 and the Sandown Lifeboat located them, and then returned them to Shanklin."
