AN AWARD-WINNING student has been presented with two impressive accolades on graduating from medical school.

Millie Pusey, 24, who graduated from Kings College, London, after completing a six-year degree, was awarded the Brackenbury Prize in Medicine and Surgery and The Principal’s Prize as the top-performing student.

The former A* student was previously featured in the Isle of Wight County Press after achieving A grades in her A-levels.

Millie thanked her former Sandown High School tutor, Indra James, and musical director, Martyn Stroud, for helping her on her way to medical school.

Millie will be starting her new job as a junior doctor at a hospital in York within the year.
