THE Middle Road, Calbourne, is closed this evening (Thursday) due to a tree falling down.
At 7.50pm, Isle of Wight Police tweeted: "Calbourne Road is closed due to a tree that’s come down.
"Closures in place near The Blacksmiths Arms and The Sun Inn at Calbourne.
"Will update once the road is open.
"Please avoid and find alternative routes."
Island Roads have been contacted, and Groundsell Contracting are on the scene.
The road is expected to be closed for several hours.
