STUDENTS of St Catherine's School celebrated their achievements with an evening 'under the stars'.

St Catherine's sixth form leavers gathered at Landguard Manor, Shanklin, for a night of food, fun and dance.

Students created a poll to decide the theme of the prom, with under the stars emerging as the favourite.

Students helped make place mats for the occasion, designed decorations and bought star accessories to bring the theme to life.

The evening kicked off with drinks on the lawn, and was followed by a buffet and leavers' speeches from the students. Ventnor's Crave Ice Cream provided the desserts.

After food and refreshments, staff and students took to the dance floor, with music from the school's resident DJ, James.

"This was a well-deserved treat for our leavers, who have worked so hard throughout their last year with us at St Catherine’s," said principle, Rachel Weldon.

"It was extremely well organised by staff and students and everyone looked fantastic.”
