VENTNOR Coastguard Rescue Team was called to assist the ambulance service yesterday evening (Wednesday) after a woman fell down some cliff steps.
At arouund 8.30pm, Ventnor Coastguard, alongside Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat, was called to the scene in Lake, near the revetment between Sandown and Shanklin.
The woman — who had sustained injuries — was passed into the care of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and taken to hospital.
Ventnor Coastguard was released at 9.40pm.
