ST JOHN Ambulance volunteers have taken delivery of a new vehicle, thanks to a donation from the masons.

It will be used at Island events to deliver life saving first aid to members of the public.

Brigadier Sheen, chair of the Isle of Wight County Priory Group, said: "The donation of this vehicle is wonderful news for the Isle of Wight. It will help enhance patient care and contribute to more lives saved locally.

"We’re immensely grateful to the Mark Master Masons of Hampshire and Isle of Wight, and the Mark Benevolent Fund.

"We look forward to seeing the positive use made by local St John Ambulance volunteers."

Nationally, the organisation has awarded grants to the charity for new ambulances, treatment centres and support vehicles.
